People should go to jail when they abandon their pets.

      I am going to talk about why people should go to jail when their abandon their pets, because sometimes people do not know what happens with their pets in the streets, how much they suffer or maybe people know it but they don't do anything in order to solve this problem, the law should implement a punishment fore those people and a solution for those animals.

      Why do people buy pets? sometimes people buy pets (mostly dogs and cats) because they think that these animals are like toys and their children " play" with them for a few days and later, they don't give the importance that pets need. Then when pets grow-up, people abandon them in the streets and they don't want to be responsible for them. There are some other factors about reasons why people should go to jail when they abandon their pets.

      When people abandon their pets, these animals suffer so much in different ways. animals around the world are being abandoned, according to Amigos Pro Animal, A.C. (2009) approximately 10, 000 animals each year are abandoned because these pets are "old ", "a burden" or " not useful ". The pets need a home and love. when pets are abandoned always feel sad and lonely, I believe its similar to animal abuse. It's sad to think that so many animals get abandoned and forgotten in the streets and I think that is just that people should go to jail because abandoning pets is another form of animal cruelty and because in the streets the animals can be trampled and they can generate an accident.

      Animals are just like people animals need a good place to live where they feel safe and wanted. Animal cruelty is a serious problem that still takes place around the world, if you have a pet its your responsibility to give them love and a home ; you have to feed them, take care of them and to give them what they need. Owners should be held responsible and punished for such an offense because I believe it is similar to animal abuse. These animals are domestic and are accustomed to having a caretaker.


      For these reasons I agree that people who abandon their pets should go to jail. I think that it depends of the damage of the animal has. There should be a law in order to apply a punishments and solutions for all pet's sake. Animals love people so you should love them, An animal could be a friend, a best friend or maybe just a companion in life. Remember you are teaching your children lesson later on in life it could be your turn. Don't shop, adopt.

Reflection

      This essay was easy for me because is a theme that like and the vocabulary is easy too. I was a little stressed for the deadline but I like write this kind of essays because I can give my opinion and express my ideas.

How ICT has changed students lives.

      Have you ever imagined how life would be different without the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) . Nowadays people can not conceive a world without computers , internet, cellphones, screens, etc. That maybe is hard for young people to understand today but it is important to know how and in which way ICT affects or helps young people like students.

      The 90s were the years of computer communications and information access with the electronic mail and the World Wide Web (WWW). Later, educators thought that technology could improve student learning and today ICT can lead to improvement of  student learning and better teaching methods, especially in terms of comprehension and practical skills and in subject areas such as Mathematics, Science, History, and other disciplines and it is being used in ways that were not imaginable, technology is everywhere and in every part of our lives. Nowadays it is common that people have radios, televisions, cellular phones, computers, tablets, internet, so now is very easy to find a lot of information that before it was more difficult to find it is now.

      ICT is helpful for whole people but students are the most benefited because it prepares students for their future and it is a great way to reach diversity in learning styles. Besides the students can  take more control over their own learning. another advantage is that students can have access to digital books and this helps then significantly because it is a lot cheaper than expensive traditional books. In accordance with  Reeves and Jonassen, (1996) when the students use ICT, they develop cognitive learning strategies and critical thinking skills. This helps them with the acquisition of generic cognitive competencies essential for their lives in our society. Pursuant to  Becker (2000)  also the students can study and work at the same time because they can communicate with their classmates or teachers in an electronic form such as e-mails or some social networks. Nowadays, many schools support this idea because it reduces the time of change learning and improves their academic performance.

      But the ICT has negative side too. According to The National School Boards Association (n.d.) Some negative effects of technology in today's classrooms are that students made overuse it and turn educational experiences into games. ICT offers access to information, but it also offers many more distractions. For example gaming, text messaging, emailing and visiting websites taking attention away from the subject. Being taught also be exposed to dangerous situations like inappropriate materials, predators in online networks like chat rooms and social networks. Sometimes students come to have an addiction, and this has a serious impact on the bodies and their minds as well their social and school lives such as poor memory and bad sleep habits, obesity, depression, stress, constant distraction and so on. It would be important for to avoid using ICT as a substitute of teaching since this induces poor education.

      It is inevitable that in the future the schools avoid having ICT because education and technology are in constant change and only people can change their lives in a positive or negative way. ICT is a good tool but as all things in life moderation is the key. 

Reflection.-This essay was very difficult for me because I had few time and I had to investigate a lot and find the correct words to say, I felt stressed but I learned new vocabulary about technology and communication that I will can use in the future.

My perfect day

    I am going to describe how my perfect day would be and I will tell you, how the environment would smell and look, I will describe each things that I could imagine, thing that I would do, with the people that I would spend time with, the food that would eat, in others words, I will describe with details each part of my ideal day (in the morning, afternoon and night).

    In the morning, I would like to get up at 6:00 am to admire the bright sunrise in a beautiful place with my parents and my siblings in the middle of wonderful mountains, without the smog of the city only fresh air and that I could hear and watch the birds singing in the distance and to hear the peaceful sound of a big waterfall, too.

I would like to eat a delicious shrimp cocktail with strawberry freshwater and finally for dessert, a tasty and sweet chocolate cake.

On a sunny day, I would like to go with my family to climb the mountains and reach the top to see the landscape around us, such as the big and green trees, the noisy but wonderful waterfall, beautiful and colorful flowers of different kinds, in where you could only hear the wind blowing in the trees and the melodious song of the different kinds of birds such as Canary, Goldfinch, Parakeet, and so on and later, to come back to a big and fancy house.

    In the afternoon, I would like to watch interesting horror movies with my lovely family and be eating a big, delicious and fantastic Hawaiian pizza and juicy huge hamburgers in our cozy living room. I would like that all the afternoon we could play fun video games, basketball, football and I can be in the big, clean and transparent pool and I could stay many hours inside in the pool and feel the fresh water on my skin. later, at 6:00 pm maybe, I would love that will start to drizzle and I could smell the wet soil and I could see the shiny raindrops and clear like diamonds in the big old windows.

    At night, when the drizzle stopped ,my family and I would go outside to see the magnificent myriad of stars that shining in the dark sky, and I would like to make a night party, and stay all night awake singing rock songs, talking about funny, terrible, incredible stories and eat junk food including Mexican food such as the hot and delicious tacos I would also dancing all the night without concerns only for that day.

   Conclusion: This would be my perfect day , to spend the day with my family in the great mountains, doing things that I love as playing different games, eating tasty food that I like and enjoying this time that I could spend only with them.

Although, I know that this day maybe would never become a reality, but I do not care, it does not matter how the weather would be or in which place would also be, the only things would be to spend a wonderful time with my family, because being with my family all the days are just perfect.

  









 Reflection.-
     In this essay, I felt with a little trust because I liked the theme about describing things, I think that it was easy to express my ideas, but also I felt little confused with the adjectives because I had to learn a few of them but in the future adjectives can help me to describe how is shapes,colors, people's personality ,characteristics of things, people or places.

How my dog came to my house.

       In this story I will tell you, what happened with my dog (named Dino) and how I felt in those moments. He suffered so much during his life,because he had a bad owner, a skin infection and long treatments and so on, but now he is with me and I love him, because he is a wonderful dog and a good pet.

      How my dog came to my life? Well, one day my brother was searching for a dog, because his girlfriend wanted one, he realized that a neighbor was giving German Shepherd dogs, then, my brother bought him, and he took him to my parents house, because he wanted to see his girlfriend later. My brother decided to his take the dog to his girlfriend´s house. When his girlfriend saw the dog, she said that did not like this kind of dogs. As his girlfriend did not want the dog, my brother wanted to return the dog to previous owner, but we knew that he beat him, so I decided to keep the dog.

      When I took the dog to my house, my parents did not like him because my parents do not like dogs. However, I asked my parents if I could keep the dog and finally they accepted.

A week later, I noticed that my dog was infested with fleas, so immediately I took him to the vet. I remembered that the vet told me “I had never seen the dog like him”. The vet bathed him and gave medicine and special shampoo to control the fleas infestation.

Unfortunately, he got a skin infection, three weeks later, so I took him to other vet, and she told me that infection had been caused by the medicine that the other vet gave him. She treated him, but my puppy did not any relief, and what was worse, because was that whole body was bleeding, I was desperate because the days passed, but there were no answers and he continued bad, I was wondering what would happen.

      6 months later, finally he was well, I was happy again, So I played with him, he learned tricks like sit, down, stand, take things and barking. Always, I took him to hill "El Picacho" to do exercise because this kind of dogs require a lot of exercise.

Sometimes, I think that my dog is human because he is very intelligent, when I feel bad, he licks my face as if he were saying, "Don't worry I'm with you" he is so adorable because I enjoy really spending time with him, however always that he listened his previous owner he beginning to howl. Is good that he is not with this sir.

      Despite all that he lived, like diseases, abuse of the previous owner, his long recovery and so, I think I did correct thing because I did the possible for that he was fine. It was the best experience that ever happened to me, I felt and feel really good to give him a second chance and quality of life. Dogs are not everything in your life, but they make your life complete.

Reflection:

      This essay made me a little difficult because I think that I needed to learn more vocabulary, verbs and phrases that I can use, and think that is really a challenge for us to talk about ourselves and our experiences but, is good for us. And for the next I believe that I will study a lot of vocabulary for make a best essay.
